Welcome to South Putnam Community School Corporation

 South Putnam Community School corporation is located in south-central Putnam County.  The corporation covers an area of 163 square miles and is crossed by Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 40 to the east and west, and U.S. Highway 231 to the north and south. South Putnam has approximately 1,150 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade among three buildings including South Putnam Middle School/ High School, Central Elementary and Fillmore Elementary.  South Putnam is committed to equipping students for professional and personal success by guiding students to excellence according the Indiana State Standards and the five C's: communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and character.

Important Food Service Information
The South Putnam Community School Corporation is pleased to announce under the recent waivers granted by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), we will begin serving all reimbursable breakfast and lunches on 9/14/2020 for FREE to any current enrolled South Putnam Community School student. These waivers have been extended until June 30, 2021. The USDA does have the right to withdraw this approval subject to availability of funds.
