Corporation motto: Successful tradition - Innovative future

South Putnam Community School corporation is located in south-central Putnam County.  The corporation covers an area of 163 square miles and is crossed by Interstate 70, U.S. Highway 40 to the east and west, and U.S. Highway 231 to the north and south. South Putnam has approximately 1,150 students in PK through 12th grade among three buildings including South Putnam Middle School/ High School, Central Elementary and Fillmore Elementary.

When South Putnam High School opened in 1969, there was an immediate need for all things "Eagle," thus the school song, an original composition by former South Putnam Band Director, Kenneth Rogier, was born.

Let's win this game.
Go onward Eagles, go.
Never to yield a victory to the foe.
Rah, Rah, Rah!

Win, Lose, or Tie
We'll back the red and blue.
So go, fight, win, South Putnam
We're proud of you.
